In Michaelia ‘s defence, she does appear to be the product of a warped “Dallas” subculture also satirised on Kath and Kim,. This subculture valourises cup cakey-ness at the expense of thinking, reactivity before logic, appearance at the expense of substance and seems common to the conservative side of politics, judging by the polls.

She would have learned that sleeping your way to the top and lying pathologically are part of same game that will have her “win” against progressive, bleeding heart “losers”.

God knows what her parents must have been like.

I like the fact that, on 1/3/18, Senator Cash made extraordinary use of federal security resources in order to screen journalists from recording her entry into a parliamentary committee sitting that was packed with media and cameras.

I do apologise for making you all relive those moments. I can only feel sorry for the other people who work in the Senate. I would be torn between asking her questions to expose her ineptitude and completely ignoring her to give my ears and sense of decency a break.
