War and dominance

By Stephen Tardrew

The real kicker in the long run is Shorten and Turnbull supporting the insane Von Trump family who are intent on running the US middle class and poor into the ground while saving themselves by joining the inner circle of US war mongers driven by an out of control Military Industrial Complex. He is not simply “Clinton Light” … he is now Clinton’s clone.

Morality? What is that while left and right are fawning to the gods of neoliberalism and neoconservatism driven by insane religious magical and mythical fantasy? The masters of redistribution and inequality are not winning – they have won as progressives fall into a morass of despair driven by the most biased government and private media this country has ever seen.

The fact that the gas attack in Syria mirrors the WMD Iraq fiasco demonstrates the media has learned nothing, in fact, they have been paid to unlearn how to get at the facts. The Middle East is in ruins simply to satiate the Zionist apartheid right-wing fanaticism in Israel.

Make no mistake about it, Australia is complicit in the most brutal cause of global military hegemony that is geared to one thing and one thing alone – war and full spectrum dominance. Do we really want to be dominated by this insanity? Over one thousand US bases world wide. Give me a break then they call it a defence budget. How more offensive can you get?

Malcolm Fraser warned us to disengage from the US. What we are seeing is a reflection of irrational unscientific insanity driven by a bunch of scientifically illiterate narcissists and war mongers as ordinary citizens live in a media bubble of lies and disinformation. Now they have turned real news into fake news as Murdoch and IPA infiltrate the ABC.

I have seen nothing as disturbing as the current trend since the Vietnam War and rather than learn we have gone further down the rabbit hole.

John Lord and Kaye Lee, I admire your continual effort to make sense of these circumstances and lead us out of this morass with common sense and objective critique, however the dogs of inequity, immorality, environmental degradation and war are still well and truly upon us.

Don’t get me wrong. I always have hope, however when things are rotten to the core the fight becomes more pressing and urgent. Thank you both for you excellent contributions.

Thanks Stephen Tardrew, for your message from the heart.

We have all been asleep for such a long time that I wonder too if we have awoken too late to make a difference.

But now that I have expressed the doomsday little bit of my character, I fight back with bloody-minded defiance that our demise is not that easy.

We have experienced hardship and we are becoming more aware day by day why that has been facilitated.

The Lib/Lab duopoly has been at fault but then so have we for tolerating the existence of the duopoly.

Multi-party and multi-representative lower and upper Australian houses of Parliament are the answers to our multitudinal political problems and proposals. We must expect diversity, non-corporatisation of government, total transparency and accountability and total enforceablity against wrong-doers who persist to abuse their privileges.

I’m also substantially vindicative enough to pursue all wrong-doers present and past to exact all rortings and illicit privileges.

Let that be a lesson to current pollies who think they can lick their lips and smile and get away with their dirty dealings.

Oh I do enjoy reading articles by our regular commenters.

Well said! Frustrating, dangerous times economically, environmentally and politically. Imagine if the arms industry collapsed..how good for humanity would that be?

Oh, I dunno. I thought Shorten’s “nimbleness” to join in with Von Trump in a war… any war that’s going… was commendable in its open enthusiasm, reaching “fawning” level in seconds, and he nearly beat Trumble to the punch! He must have been taking advice from Bomber Beasley! We can imagine Shorten in the office, yelling at scurrying functionaries, “Will someone get me an effing microphone ASA effing P!” Don’t think twice, it’s ALL right! Disunity with the USA is death! As is UNITY! Now, where’s Syria and North Korea? Let’s go there!

    Good article Stephen.
The United States Stands Before The World As A Criminal Nation
Washington has murdered entire countries in whole or part: Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Afghanistan, Yemen, parts of Syria and Pakistan. Millions of Muslim peoples have been killed, maimed, orphaned, and dislocated. The dispossessed and dislocated are filling up the American Empire that destroyed their lives. The American genocide of nations has had the full support of “Western civilization” and the print and TV media of Western journalism. Every transparent lie out of Washington’s mouth has been repeated by European, Canadian, and Austrailian heads of state and by the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, NPR and all the rest of the presstitutes of the Western world.

Trump is the fourth US president in a row who takes refuge in blatant lies as his justification for war crimes. The Western world has chosen lies and rejected truth.

We have Turbull outraged over Bashar Al Assad using chemical weapons without any proof or investigation and now believed to have been a staged event to demonise Assad, a typical event staged by the usual suspects.

Both Liberal and Labour politicians read off the same scripts.

Australians like to believe that we are a friendly compassionate country but the truth is far different. Our politicians totally support this criminal cabal and have for decades. The stupidity is staggering!

This country has no enemies so why do we stick our nose into affairs that do not concern us and can only do us harm?
To support to war on terrorism lie?

If you believe what the government says, you’re part of the problem. If you believe what big media tells you, well, then you’re just an idiot, incapable of discernment and a total failure at critical thinking.

    Hi Stephen,

Whilst I agree with almost all you have pointed out, I can’t accept that you simply make the assumption that Shorten would also fall into line with the daily insanity display of Trump.

He has said in the past, that the man is a mad, barking mad. I have some faith in Shorten. He is trying to pull back the blatant exploitation of Negative Gearing, questions the need to deploy more troupes, even if asked by Trump.

Yes, he may not have the balls to openly defy the US, because of fear of being wedged on security by that shameful trio Turnbull, Dutton, Pine.

Once he understands, that the majority of Australians would back him in an election, he may grow some balls.

Still, the worst mistake I see over and over again, and comes through your article as well, is the tendency to throw the lot together.

Ahh, they all are the same, I hear being said or written and shouted from the roof tops. That removes all impetus to vote Labor. Why would I?

In the absence of credible, political alternatives in Australia, Labor is by far the lesser menace.

All through the long cold war, I never felt fear. I do now. Why? In truth nothing has changed much except for the USA having what appears a lunatic President. Why aren’t other leaders pulling him up? That is the most scary of all.

  8. Florence nee Fedup

Trump comes in, stirs up war then moves on. Demands others fix his mess up. Such as China and Russia.

Well said Keyser, ADF another oxymoron. Humanity, destroying the oceans, the forests, the air, the earth, my planet and each other. Isn’t it time we all took a good look at ourselves and take responsibility for all of it!

According to PM Turnbull today, one of ‘our’ core Australian values is the rule of law. Guilt by association?
