Bidenomics: Four Charts (to upset the doubters)

I do not believe that the President of the US is personally responsible for the state of the US economy. No rational person could believe such a thing.

However, lots of right-wing commentators want to assert that Biden is single-handedly destroying the US economy. They propose that the advent of ‘Bidenomics’ has led to soaring inflation, growing unemployment, stagnant wages, and a stock exchange headed south.

This is bullshit. All of it. The correlation between who might be president, and the condition of the US economy, is tentative at best. But even if there was a direct and uncomplicated correlation, the whole ‘Bidenomics’ narrative is still bullshit.

The next time a right-winger wants to spout nonsense about ‘Bidenomics’, first refer them to the following four charts, then advise them to either piss-off, or stop parading their ignorance in public.

While such an exposure to reality is unlikely to stop them talking bullshit, it will make you feel better. Plus, you will have avoided the need to talk any further with a fool.

Win/Win.

Interesting and concerning, not just Trumpers who ignore, deny or denigrate anything positive, but they are led on by US MSM which avoids anything positive about the economy, Democrats and Biden.

In fact US MSM defers to following the sociocultural and soft wedge issues for the pathetic GOP esp ‘Biden conspiracies’, woke etc. which also feature in FoxNews, Breitbart, Rebel Media, RT, Zero Hedge and Koch’s Heritage Foundation outlet ‘The Daily Signal’; walls of misinformation, dog whistling, confusion and muddying the water.

I saw it on fb and thought about some of the rubbish American think tanks come up with. a very kind friend, Cyn, ft a tape from America that was skirting around the sort of nonsenses Clarence Thomas is involved with this tangled load of self indulgence revolving around Foundationalism, the sort of stuff the dark eminence, De Santis, operates on.

Andrew Smith, thanks for intelligent comments.

“Bidenomics” should not be seen as a pejorative word, but rather the policies of a president who does actually seem to want to make things better for American industry and ordinary workers. It could be enough to get him re-elected. He might be a bit old, and falling about, but his opponent will be that plainly malevolent and destructive mug shot.
