A Handgrenade … Sit back and think about it

Ok, I’ve had a bit of a brain wave.

By brain wave, I mean that every now and then my brain waves to me and says, “Why don’t you think about this, and just ask the obvious question?”

So, of course, the obvious question is:

Given that one of the big objections to gay marriage is that they can’t have children, and that’s one of the prime purposes of marriage does that mean that we should not allow people over sixty to marry, but we should allow brothers and sisters to marry because they can?

Yes, I welcome comments, but think very carefully about what you write, and ask yourself, is it consistent with everything else you’ve ever argued?

At the end of this discussion, we can go back and calmly discuss gay marriage.

🙂
